Most of the managers across the world have failed to understand as to why DMRC failed in controlling AIRPORT METRO. Even RELIANCE which is one of the top INDIAN brands failed to control AIRPORT LINE of DELHI METRO. Well, the reason for their losses is simple, but, it is simply out of my minds that even the greatest of minds have not yet understood it as of now. Yes, the reason for their failure is simple and that reason is DTC(DELHI TRANSPORT CORPORATION).

You might be thinking that how come dirty and crowded DTC buses take on such a new make and well maintained and highly comfortable metro, well the answer is simple. Just go to DWARKA SECTOR-1 bus stand on the bus stand that takes you to DABRI crossing. You will realize the reason in just 10 minutes. The reason being DTC buses on the routes RL77, RL79, RL75, and some others RL's as well moving in tandom to the NEW DELHI RAILWAY STATION with an average frequency of not more than 2-3 minutes. Yes, in every 2-3 minutes there is a bus from DWARKA to NDLS, which takes about 60 minutes to complete it's route in normal traffic and some lesser time in morning hours. Even the buses are less crowded as they generally are due to their good timing. Also as the palam airport is not far away, this stand acts as a meeting point and a easy reach for people going to domestic airport.

Metro was designed considering the fact that people in DWARKA will use this line to reach NDLS in least possible time, but, this route is though faster and comfortable in comparison to DTC, but, is highly costly. Buses take 15-25 INR to take you to NDLS to DWARKA or vice versa, but, metro charges more than 100 INR and in this  time of intense inflation, money matters the most, more than anything else. I am not a business analyst, nor I am a student of management, but, I understand that people today are more focussed on saving money than anything else.

What I believe is that METRO and other top level managers should work more on ground level and have a look as to why their dream project is eating away all their effort. Well if you also think that whatever I have noticed on ground zero is wrong then you can also make a visit to DWARKA SECTOR-1 bus stop and have a look at the reality.

Hope that DMRC learns something from it and is able to correct its failures.........
